The MBC Action Australia Information and Support Hub is here to help you find practical, evidence-based information about metastatic breast cancer (MBC). Please use the site in the spirit it was built — to inform, support, and connect.
This is information, not medical advice
The Hub is general information for people living with MBC, their families and carers, and the health professionals who support them.
It is not a substitute for advice from your own doctor, specialist, or care team. Every person’s situation is different. Always talk to your treating team before making decisions about your treatment, medications, or care.
If you are unwell, or something is changing in a way that worries you, contact your care team or call 000 in an emergency.
How we choose what’s on the Hub
Content on the Hub has been:
- co-designed with people living with MBC
- reviewed by medical and allied health professionals
- written in plain language so it’s as accessible as possible.
Medical information changes over time. We aim to keep pages accurate and up to date, and you’ll see a “last reviewed” date on each section page. If you spot something that looks out of date or incorrect, please let us know.
Links to other websites and services
The Hub points to many other organisations — hospitals, support groups, government agencies, research bodies, and the like. We include these because we think they’re useful.
We don’t control those websites or services, and we can’t promise their content is always accurate or current. When you click an external link, you’re leaving the Hub and their terms and privacy policies apply.
Using the Hub
You can:
- read, share, and print anything on the Hub for personal, educational, or non-commercial use
- link to any page on the Hub
- talk about the Hub with your care team, family, or community.
If you’d like to reproduce or republish a substantial piece of Hub content, or use it commercially, please contact us first.
About the content
Content written for the Hub is © MBC Action Australia. External resources — videos, articles, booklets, and other materials we link to — belong to their respective owners and are credited where they appear.
We’re a volunteer-led organisation, and we do our best to keep the Hub helpful, current, and safe. We can’t guarantee the site will be free of errors or available every minute of the day, but if something is broken or wrong, please tell us so we can fix it.
